Not a lot going on we haven't heard anything new which sucks. We are hoping for new pictures and medical updates, but we will see. We would like to see some pictures of her with her eyes open. As soon as we get some we will be posting them.

POA in Guatemala

Well our POA is officially in Guatemala and is being translated. I think that my other post may have said that, but now it is officially there.

So November 4th is Jenny and my 5 year anniversary! It is hard to beleive that we have been together for 5 years. We are more in love than ever. Ok enough mushy stuff....

So we booked our tickets to Guatemala for December 20 - 30. We are so excited to meet her and hold her. The airline tickets were almost $800 a piece, but it will be worth it.

We are getting addresses together for our baby shower. Yes we are having a baby shower because we are going to have a baby. So we are planning on sometime at the end of January because we will be back from our visit and it is after Christmas.

We found out her birthname is spelled Delmy Yanira Cruz Gonzalez a little different than Delmi Yadira Cruz Gonzales.
Her birthmother's name is Aura Consuleo Cruz Gonzales and she is 34 years old. Addisyn was born in Jalapa Guatmela about 70 miles from the capitol Guatemala City.

All of our documents are there include our Power of Attorney and we are waiting DNA Authorization and an interview with the birth mother and a social worker. This should take about a month and half.

Our baby girl is 1 month old tomorrow. We are hoping to get updated pictures and medical updates very soon.

I will be looking forward to seeing everyone's comments like Kristen, Linda, Jozett, and Jennifer. I think those would be the people who are reading it the most often. Maybe even Nicole (AKA Dude)!!

Anyway we should have another update by the end of this week although we don't exspect much progress.

PROGRESS....

We finally got the birth certificate!!!! This means that things have started moving. Our dossier is being translated and the POA is on it's way to get authenticated. So things should start moving soon.
Other than that not much going on - eventhough nobody is reading this I will keep EVERYONE posted on the progres. : )

No news....

Well, she is 2 weeks old today and we still have no news on her birth certificate. It is driving me crazy we are hoping for this week. I think we will be sending a package down to the fostermom very soon!!!

On a good note....
The Congress in Guatemala is rejecting the Presindent's bill to stop adoptions. The Congress deemed the bill to be an abuse of his power. This is wonderful news and we are really relieved to hear this. That is it for now.
