Tables and tutu's

Mia's birthday is in a few weeks and we decided (or I did) that we were going to get her a table and chairs. I was going to get her the adorable white wooden table from Potterybarn kids with the pink and green chair, but I decided that the first time I saw a crayon mark or anything on it I would just die. You know it costs way too much so I was scoping out my favorite site, Craigslist and I found one. It was a little more than I wanted to spend on a used table but it was really clean and cute so we went and got it this weekend and of course we had to give it to her. She will get more presents at her birthday party and I am sure we will get her something else because it is not like she is spoiled or anything : )

So now that she has her new table she doesn't want to eat in her highchair so here she is eating breakfast at her new table.



Such a big girl, where did my baby go?

We have Mia's 2 year photo shoot this Thursday and I can't wait!!! I have 3 outfits planned out and 2 of the 3 are Guatemalan, but the 3rd is a tutu. I had bought one from Gymboree but it didn't match the shirt I wanted her to wear sooo with some help from Tara I made Mia a tutu! Here she is modeling it for me.

This was before it was quit done and I didn't really it all situated but you get the idea...

Friends and 2 yr old birthday parties!

This past weekend we had a great time with our favorite friends Jen, Dean and Gracie! Whenever we get together we always have such a great time and we usually just sit around and talk, but it is so much fun! We watched the Olympics and Jenny, Jen and I were the fashion police of the Olympics and the perfect commentators for every event so much so I think Dean retreated to the basement a few times just so he could get some peace. During one of the running races a Jamaican won and Dean was over the moon happy!!! Then we of course watched the Phelps and Torres races. I can't believe I watched a sporting event and rooted for someone - I am pretty anti sports. We swam in the pool and ate good food, but not at the same time! Anyway enjoy the pics.

This is Mia after doing her favorite thing, which is eating dirt. The dog dug a hole in the back yard and Mia sits in it and plays and eats the dirt. She would rather do this than play in her sand box!



Then we stripped her down because she was covered in dirt. We rinsed her off in her water table. So she ran around naked. Here she is with Gracie playing kitchen. Notice the censored box over her naked butt - this was my first attempt.

Here she is in her car naked. Jenny asked, " is she was going to get some taco bell drive thru?" Jen and I asked her why taco bell? and Jenny said, "it's after the bar food and it seems like someone would drive thru taco bell naked." I guess that makes sense.




Now some naked sliding. She didn't exactly slide just sort of stuck to the slide.



Jen, Dean and Gracie bought Mia this stroller for Mia's birthday it is suppose to have a baby doll in it, but Gracie and Mia thought it was more fun this way. Isn't Gracie just beautiful!



Mia loves men and especially loved her Uncle Dean. She followed him around all weekend wanting him to play with her and he did.

Then we went to Rosa's second birthday party! I can't believe Rosa is 2 already. Her and Mia play really well together and Mia had a good time at her birthday party.

New Carpet and New Floor....

So I know you guys are on pins and needles waiting for pics of our new floors. I have lots of pics from our weekend with Jen, Dean and Gracie but I will save those for another day! Here are the pics of our old floors and our new floors.

Cars and Goats

guess what Mia got? A new car! I got this car off of Craiglist for $15 and he LOVES it! She hasn't stopped playing with it since we got it home. She doesn't really drive it, she just gets in and out of it and she even sits in it and watches tv. One night she was playing in it when Jenny and I were eating dinner and she started yelling mommy and momma. We just told her to quit whining and finally Jenny walked out only to see she had slipped down and had her head caught under the steering wheel! Bad Mamas!!! She was ok : )



No we didn't get a goat! We went to the petting zoo. Although I have always wanted a goat but I don't think my neighbors would appreciate us having a goat.




We told Mia we were going to see animals and here she is yelling animals to the animals.

Oh and Mia is cute too!




She was so brave and she wasn't even scared of the goat!

Then there was this sweet donkey. Mia kept saying he was a llama because there were llama in there and I kept telling her to look at the llama because you know it was Linda the llama. If you watch Diego you know?!?



It was really cold this weekend the temp barely hit 70 so Mia got to sport her new jeans. Here is some Mia butt.

We have our new carpet and kitchen floor installed but you will just have to be on pins and needles for another day until I take some pictures. Try to contain yourself and make it through you day.

FFF Having a ball....

Not much going on here. I thought our appointment for our new floor was this Tuesday, but apparently it is next Tuesday and Wednesday. I know exciting news right?!? Now for some exciting news.....Jen, Dean and Gracie are coming next weekend! We can hardly wait, it will be so much fun!
