Ok, as some as you might know American Idol is in full swing. Some of you might know how much I love American Idol - it gives my life purpose while it is on. I am just not feeling it as Randy would say. In case you all were wondering what was going on in my little world.
Pongo is doing well with the cats although we are STILL in the training stages. The behaviorist said he has just probably not been around cats so we need to teach this unruly 80 pound dog to respect the 15 pounds (oh who am I kidding my cats are 25 pounds)cats. Mia really is in love with Pongo....all day she is covering him up, hugging him, and telling on him for misbehaving.
I have pics to post but Jenny needs to get them off my kick ass camera because the pics are so stinking huge my computer takes FOREVER to get them.
Our home study is done and I think it should be to the state already - although I should probably check to be sure! So we have about 4-8 weeks until we are licensed and then we could get a call anytime after that.
So in case anyone was wondering what was going on that is about it....pictures soon I promise.

The Princesses and Pongo
We have had a busy week. We had our homestudy on Tuesday and it went really well. The social worker said that we were normal! Who knew? So I just have to get a few loose ends to her and then she will be writing our home study next week!
Yesterday I had a dentist appointment and I took Mia. The point to taking her was so that the dentist could just look at her teeth, but that didn't happen. Instead she cried and said, "no thank you" over and over. At least she is polite!
So far things with Pongo are going ok. We really like him, he really likes us, but he doesn't really like the cats. We have an appointment with an animal behaviorist tomorrow to see if he can get along with the cats. If he can't then we will have to find a new home for him. I called a rescue group (no kill) and they are going to call me back tomorrow if things don't work out with the trainer. He is such a good dog and does so well with Mia, but if we can't have him with out cats then our house cannot survive.

This is a rare occurance. Mia hardly ever falls asleep on her own.
Look at her cute little butt sticking up.

Isn't she precious??!?

Mia has really been into dress up lately.
My princess.
She lost her glass slipper.

Pongo thinks he is a lap dog and tries to sit on our laps.

he had a few too many drinks!

This is how these two spend a good part of their day. Sitting next too each other looking out the window.

Mia going in for the kiss.

Does his nose look big??

Meet Pongo....
but first how 'bout some Mia cuteness??

getting her picture taken before dance class...

isn't her bite healing so well!

she eats pretty well : )

her grandma sent her some dress up clothes...

she really liked being a princess!

and she was a beautiful princess!
MEET PONGO...
our new dog...
he is a 5 yr old yellow lab...

from animal control...

and a total sweet heart.

He is HUGE!!! sort of like a horse but he is a gentle giant. I can't believe that someone wouldn't want him. The shelter said he was an outside dog, whatever that means, and he it really good with Mia, well, other than his tail wagging hitting her in the head!
